Cody Killmar is the Ambulance Director for the City of Riggins Ambulance and Chief of the Salmon River Ambulance District. As a Paramedic, he provides advanced prehospital care, ensuring the highest level of emergency medical services in the region.
Cody’s journey into EMS began in 2012 after he was involved in a vehicle accident. He vividly recalls the Idaho County Volunteer EMTs transporting him to the hospital—an experience that left a lasting impact and inspired him to pursue emergency medicine. Fortunately, he sustained no major injuries, but the event shaped his future.
In 2015, Cody became an EMT and started his career in Lewis County. A proud Idaho County native, he is honored to now serve and protect the community he grew up in. For Cody, "being there" for his neighbors in their time of need is the most rewarding part of the job.
He later attended Paramedic School in Rexburg, Idaho, training with the Madison Fire Department. Today, he continues to lead and strengthen EMS services in the Riggins area, ensuring residents and visitors receive top-tier emergency care.
Thank you, Cody, for your dedication to the community!
