Ambulance A is a state-of-the-art 2021 Ford F-350 Demers Ambulance, proudly serving our canyon community. This vehicle was purchased in 2021 through generous grant funding, and its custom graphics were beautifully designed by Rocky Mountain Signs in McCall.
Designed with both patient care and provider safety in mind, Ambulance A offers an exceptionally spacious and well-organized workspace in the rear. This allows our EMS providers to deliver high-quality care efficiently. Additionally, the ambulance is built to ensure maximum safety in the event of a collision, giving peace of mind to our team and the patients they serve.
One of its standout features is the Stryker Power Load system, which enhances safety by automatically lifting and securing the gurney. This system reduces strain on our responders and ensures the smooth transport of patients.
We’re incredibly fortunate to have this advanced ambulance as a critical resource for our community, enabling us to provide top-tier care across our canyon.
Our Extrication Vehicle is a 2012 Ford F-350, acquired through grant funding in 2012. This vital resource is equipped with all the tools needed for vehicle extrications, making it an essential asset for responding to motor vehicle crashes.
With its specialized equipment and design, this vehicle ensures our team is fully prepared to handle emergency situations efficiently and safely, providing critical support to those in need.
With the large rivers in our response zone, water rescue is an essential part of our service. Our team proudly includes five certified divers, ensuring we are prepared to handle water-related emergencies with skill and precision.
Ambulance D plays a key role in these operations, responding to all river calls and providing support during events like the Salmon River Jet Boat Races.
We are fortunate to have dedicated team members like Roy Akins, our Water Rescue Team Leader, who bring expertise and leadership to this critical service.
